Week One

Today we sampled various manipulatives that would be useful in elementary school math lessons.  Some of these included: dominos, time cards, geometric shapes, using play money to practice counting, math related board games, and connectable cubes for practicing patterns.

Important lesson of the day: A teacher's attitude makes a big difference to how the students approach a subject.  It is important for teachers to not let their fear or apprehension toward a subject show.  If you show your apprehension or fear, it will transfer to the students.
